Frank Clair Stadium at Lansdowne Park

Cannon Design was retained to provide design and planning services for the redevelopment of the existing Frank Clair Stadium which consists of:
- Renovated and expanded open air stadium (Frank Clair Stadium) with a capacity of approximately 24,000 spectators complete with 18 Private Boxes, 1000 Club Seats and a Club Lounge,
- Renovated 9,500 seat integrated hockey arena (Ottawa Civic Centre)
The overall project includes:
- Approximately 30,000 sq. m. of retail space together with 1300 spaces for an underground parking garage,
- Office tower,
- Hotel and approximately 200 condominium units
The new Grandstand is clad with an innovative and strikingly designed wood ‘veil’ that is reflective of the long history of the lumber industry in the area.
